Kids can give bibles too!!!

Giving away the bible is for everyone....and this is not just a project in Costa Rica, it is going on around the world. People are being reached with a free bible and soon people will read more and more about who God is, what He has done and we will see lives, communities and nations changed!!! Even kids can help in this as we went out as a team during our regional YWAM Conference this past weekend, over 200 people from Mexico and Central America walked through a neighborhood in Nicaragua and handed out over 750 bibles.

Luca and his friend Gabriel were part of it and experienced what it meant to hand the word of God to people!!!

Pray for the people of Nicaragua that God will bring great revelation and transformation!!!

Another update soon....so return to check in the next few days!!

Easter....Holy Week

This week is Semana Santa in Costa Rica, or in other words Holy Week. A special week in which we remember what easter is really all about.....yes that is right....it is NOT the easter bunny with his colorful eggs, which were simply a symbol of the spring time. Bunnies don't even lay eggs...". To my surprise when I typed the word easter in google images the only images I got was bunnies and eggs. The world is forgetting what easter really means, who will tell them?

This week I am just reminded of my need for Jesus, my need to understand once again His death on the cross for my sin, my short comings, my failures, my future, my hope. It is in Jesus alone, His death on the cross and His resurrection that I have life, that I have hope to go forward, to life, to give away of myself, to share what I have.

Jesus dying on the cross and raising from the dead on the 3rd day to open the way for me to be free from sin, free to live a life in the way He meant for me to live.

I want Jesus to live through me, I need Him this week, I need Him every day of my life. Without Him I don't have the life He has for me. Thank you Jesus for giving Your life for me.

I hope you will share in this celebration with me this week. Holy Week is meant for stopping and thinking, remembering once again the great sacrifice of our Lord on the cross of calvary.

Spring....new beginnings...

Spring and "springtime" refer to the season, and broadly to ideas of rebirth, renewal and regrowth. This is what an online dictionary says about Spring. WhenI think of this season I do also think of new things beginning. Look at this photo and look at the beauty of new beginnings.

Spring, when the flowers that were planted start coming out and show us the beauty with which they were created, by God. The beauty that is kept in secret for a while until the day comes when what has been started long ago, finally comes into view for all to see and we marvel at the sight and think it is the most beautiful thing.

So should this be when people walk into the Kingdom for the first time. Seeds that are planted so long ago all of a sudden spring forth into a new birth, for all to view and the field of new creations coming forth is a marvelous thing to look at.

Today I am pondering on this concept of new beginnings and thinking about the things God has called us to do here in Costa Rica, some of it being the planting of seeds that will come forth in due time, in other times the Lord is allowing us to marvel at the splendor of this new birth and the coming forth of this beauty in this season. The other part of what we do is preparing the seed to be planted, praying for the hearts and minds of those who will hear the message through our training schools, through our outreaches into this nation and abroad, interceding for those whom the Lord will bring on our path to
share His truth with.

Today I am thankful for you who is supporting us through prayer, friendship and finances for us to continue to pour out that what the Lord has given to us into the lives of those around us here in Costa Rica. Thank you for standing with us, you are a big part of seeing spring time come to lives and communities.
